“We’ve been using Stacked for more than five years now and we have recently renewed our contract with them. Over the past five years we have completely streamlined our printing process. We previously dealt with 3 different suppliers, which were amalgamated into one, saving us both time and money. Stacked supply us with HP printers and toners and also provide any maintenance we need. They manage our toner levels remotely, so we don’t even need to place an order; it’s delivered when it’s required. We know that our printers are taken care of so that’s one less thing to worry about. We also know what our printing costs are going to be for the year. For the past five years they have supported us in printing more than 700,000 pages each year.”

Security

The RDS’s network is secured with HP Enterprise devices. This includes built-in encryption to help protect sensitive business information stored on hard drives and administrative access controls as well as self-healing security features (HP Sure Start, whitelisting, run-time intrusion detection) to automatically detect, stop, and recover from attacks. Only HP offers a combination of security features that can monitor to detect and automatically stop an attack then self-validate software integrity in a reboot.

Introducing HP Access Control means the RDS now have full transparency on their costs by department, giving them more control over their budget. The HP Future Smart interface is standardised across all HP models which ensures ease of use so that staff need to spend less time adjusting settings.

Reduction in downtime due to remote monitoring. Our Service Delivery team actively looks for anomalies and resolves them before they become issues.

The Objective

The goal of our Managed Print Services team is to work in partnership with the RDS to devise the optimum solution for the Society’s needs. Our team tailored a solution to satisfy the individual requirements across the wider campus and benefited the overall organisation through increased productivity and cost savings.

“What sets Stacked apart is the level of service they provide. Our account manager is a great support. He’s in regular contact and deals with any issues efficiently. One of the best things about Stacked is their flexibility. During some of our events, like the Dublin Horse Show, our printing needs increase and they supply extra printers during those times and then take them away again when they’re no longer needed. During the original tender process, we were back and forth a lot with them and I remember that they were willing and able to go the extra mile. They adapted their business model to suit our needs and that makes all the difference. The redeployment went very smoothly. The engineer was experienced and efficient in working with our team to get all printers installed with the minimum amount of fuss. We have had no major issues since the printers went in so our contact with after sales and service has been low. That for us is a win.
