At Stacked, we take great pride in our environmental policy and the proactive steps we’ve taken in order to reduce our carbon footprint.
We do this through the products we supply and the procedures that we have implemented. These are some of the initiatives we’ve undertaken:
ISO14001:2015 Certification: Stacked is certified to ISO14001:2015, which is an internationally recognised standard for Environmental Management. This achievement reflects our commitment & dedication to making a positive impact and is kind of like The IFTA’s for sustainability 😁
Environmental Champions: We have appointed two senior staff members as Environmental Champions. It is their responsibility to drive positive change within the business in relation to our impact on the environment. We have also developed a Waste Stream document which lists all the materials that we use and how they are segregated and disposed of.
Partner with Environmentally Conscious Suppliers: Wherever possible, we prioritise working with suppliers who share our commitment to environmental consciousness. One of our longtime partners, HP, has received a triple a rating from the CPD for their work across climate change, forests, and water security. HP have set out a plan to eliminate 75% of single use plastic from their packaging within the next 5 years.
PrintReleaf: Offsetting Your Carbon Footprint: We are proud partners with PrintReleaf a company that enables our Managed print customers to offset their carbon footprint by planting one tree for every 8,333 pages printed in a certified forest of the customer’s choice. The PrintReleaf software sits on the print device, measures paper consumption in real time and calculates how many trees were harvested to produce what was consumed.
Edit office: Edit office are one of the Irish furniture suppliers that we work with. For every desk they sell they will plant a native Irish tree through their partnership with Trees On The Land. To date, they have successfully planted 10,000 native Irish trees.
Environmentally Conscious Logistics: When it comes to our logistics partners, we try to collaborate with companies who are environmentally conscious. DPD for instance, has launched a new “Green Last Mile” scheme. They have already deployed over 50 quieter, greener vehicles to towns and cities across the island of Ireland. As of March 2022, they had installed 55 7.3kw and 11kw AC chargers in 15 depots in Ireland!
Eco Review and Greener Products: We offer our Business Supplies customers the option of having Their Account Manager review their top ten most frequently ordered products with a view to recommending “greener” options in support of their own company’s green policy. In addition to this, we often highlight our eco-friendly products in our marketing campaigns and have a section on our Business Supply store which directs you to these products.
