Create a timetable or routine
Start at the same time and finish at the same time. Find a routine that works for you and supports you in being the most effective you can be at home.
Set ground rules with the people in your space
It is likely that you will not be the only person at home, so make sure you agree who is doing what and where, so that you can get on with your work with the least amount of interruptions.
Think about the times you normally take your breaks and take them at the same time. Ensure that you take your full lunch and try and get out of the house and get some fresh air if you can at all.
Don’t hesitate to ask for what you need
If you need anything to make the environment at home more suitable for working, then just ask your account manager. Even if we don’t usually stock a particular product, we will do our best to find whatever you need.
Set up a dedicated office space
Try to create a space dedicated for your work. Make it as ergonomically comfortable as possible so that you can continue to be as productive as usual.
Don’t forget your colleagues!
Send emails, call them, chat through whatever medium suits but remember they are all still at work, you just can’t see them!
Its going to be tough and at times there will be more pressure, so try to stay positive. Be committed and focused and know that this situation is temporary and we will be out the other side soon.
