Name: Mike Edlin
Position: UK and Ireland Sales Manager
Company: Wolfvision
Tell us a little bit about what you do…
I’m the UK and Ireland Sales Manager for WolfVision, specialising in the education, corporate, and judicial sectors. I consider myself a solutions architect, always striving to integrate WolfVision systems into spaces with minimal complexity but maximum impact. Often, we work with existing hardware in challenging environments which requires us to think outside the standard AV box, finding innovative ways to enhance functionality and user experience.
What do you love about your job?
I love meeting new customers and showcasing the future of AV technology. It’s gratifying to make systems easier to use while providing added benefits. Often competing against the biggest players in AV and emerging on top is extremely satisfying, as it demonstrates the outstanding quality and innovation of WolfVision products.
What’s the hottest thing in your solution or product portfolio today?
Our award-winning vSolution MATRIX is a standout multi-screen collaboration solution which enhances active learning and other collaborative environments. Multiple users can connect and share their content wirelessly across several display screens either within a room or across multiple rooms, providing unparalleled flexibility in working and learning.
What trends are shaping innovation in your company today?
Hybrid meeting room technology is a significant trend. People want user-friendly systems that enable them to use any web conferencing service while utilising in-room cameras, microphones, and audio systems for a professional experience. Our Cynap product range embodies this ‘Bring Your Own Meeting’ capability, offering a seamless and effective solution.
What do you think makes a great team?
Trust and reliability are crucial components. It’s also important to be nice to each other and maintain good relationships through both good and challenging times!
If you could trade places with anyone for a day, who would it be and why?
I would choose Lewis Hamilton. As a big fan of Formula 1 racing, I’d love to experience a big race weekend and get a behind-the-scenes look at everything involved.
AI, friend or foe?
Definitely a friend. AI usage is growing rapidly, and as we learn to harness its potential correctly, it can assist us in almost every area of our lives.
