Maxol’s Rosa Coffee Survey of more than 2,600 people in Ireland, which was detailed in a recent article by Shelflife, has found that “one in five (20%) consumers would rather not buy a coffee at all, than use a single use cup.”
“Apparently, the nation is waking up to the impact of take-out coffees in single use cups, with 70% of respondents saying they now consider the environmental impact when purchasing a coffee to go. The survey also found that 91% of us can’t face the day without a coffee, with almost 30% of people spending more than €1,000 each year on take-out coffees. The majority of people (56%) would also opt for Fair Trade coffee if they were given the choice.”
